THE National Task Force Against Covid-19 (NTF) was quick on the draw with its reply to my column "All right, Sir?" (The Manila Times, Feb. 18, 2022). Sadly though, it was out of context on many points.

First, my column was seeking answers from the experts and did not intend to sow fear. In fact, the basis for that was the petition of citizens, parents and medical professionals who already fear the outcome of this program because of apparent adverse effects and data that are already available, but to which the Department of Health (DoH) is silent about. This is precisely the reason why a petition for certiorari was filed by the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) to stop further vaccination of healthy children ages 5 to11 — lack of transparency. In essence Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor ("Covid-19 vaccines do not kill people," Letters, The Manila Times, Feb. 21, 2022) is questioning my motive for the column and not answering the issues raised in the petition, which I merely highlighted.
