China Bank gets P15.1-B income in 2021

CHINA Banking Corp. (China Bank) said it finished 2021 in a stronger position on the back of continued core business growth and effective cost management.

The Sy-led lender reported in a disclosure on Thursday that its net income increased by 25 percent to P15.1 billion last year from P12.1 billion in 2020. This resulted in a higher return on equity and return on assets of 13.6 percent and 1.5 percent, respectively.
