SCIENCE and Technology Secretary Fortunato de la Peña said the science agency can play a role in closing the gender gap and addressing the stereotypes of limited career paths for women in various fields of science both in the academic and professional spheres.
In a special forum in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11, de la Peña said the Department of Science and Technology (DoST) recognizes the importance of gender mainstreaming in breaking down barriers for women.
