THE Covid-19 pandemic raised the importance of sufficient food supplies and inventory at the village and community levels to secure food availability for families.

This was especially true for urban areas where there were limited food production activities. Small communities that were greatly dependent on donations and relief activities were the most affected. The government had loosened the quarantine restrictions in the country because of the positive outcome of the government vaccination program and the importance of preparing the communities for similar challenges in the future to be realized.
