5 killed in Maguindanao shootout

COTABATO CITY: Five suspected members of a robbery group were killed in a shootout with government forces in the municipality of Ampatuan in Maguindanao on Saturday, February 19.

Western Mindanao Command chief Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario Jr. said the 40th Infantry Battalion (40IB) received a report of a robbery and holdup incident at a convenience store and eatery in Barangay Kauran, Ampatuan on Saturday.
