THE Philippines earned $4.5 million from exports of strategic goods last year, the Department of Trade (DTI) announced on Monday, improving from $3.6 million in 2021.

Republic Act 10697 or the "Strategic Trade Management Act" defines these goods as "products that, for security reasons or due to international agreements, are considered to be of such military importance that their export is either prohibited altogether or subject to specific conditions."
