SEC seeks rules for umbrella funds

THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently issued draft rules for the creation and operation of umbrella funds.

In a statement on Monday, the commission said the proposed rules will apply to newly formed and existing, open-end investment companies looking to adopt an umbrella fund structure.
