ARCHITECTURE and construction have been evolving through time. New designs are being developed, and in the process, the old must give way to the new. Older structures are torn down as newer ones are designed and built in their place.
The Alberto House in Biñan, Laguna belongs to the family of Doña Teodora Alonzo, the mother of national hero Jose Rizal. The house was restored and kept in its original location, thanks to the efforts of the local government, which recognizes the structure as part of its cultural heritage.
