During his first visit to the Philippines as External Affairs Minister (EAM), Dr. S. Jaishankar held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., where they reviewed developments in bilateral relations since the meeting of the Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation they co-chaired virtually in November 2020.

The two Ministers also discussed the future trajectory of the wide-ranging engagement between the two countries and had an in-depth exchange of views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
