THE trough or tail of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will bring rain over Mindanao in the next two days while the northeast monsoon or "amihan" will affect Metro Manila, as well as Northern and Central Luzon.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the LPA, however, would not directly hit the country as it was not expected to enter the PAR.
