FORMER Defense secretary and Senate candidate Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro said on Friday that strategies aimed to address climate change and its effect must be appropriate to the situation of the country and not just merely adhere to the standards set by first-world countries.
Teodoro lamented that a country like the Philippines may be hard pressed to comply with the standards of other nations to mitigate the impacts of climate change due to its geographic setup.
