THE Philippines' investment-grade credit rating of "BBB" has been retained by Fitch Ratings with a negative outlook, citing the country's strong economic and external position, as well as weak structural issues.
"Philippines' rating balances strong external buffers and growth against lagging structural indicators, including per capita income and governance," it said in a statement issued on Friday.
