THE Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) has approved the allocation of 2,000 hectares in Laguna Bay for floating solar projects.

"An initial predetermined area of not more than 2,000 hectares in the LDB (Laguna de Bay) is hereby allocated for REU (renewable energy utilization) projects," the LLDA said in its memorandum dated Feb. 2, 2022.
