PUBLIC Attorney's Office (PAO) chief Persida Rueda-Acosta said on Thursday that the government's pediatric vaccination program against Covid-19 remains illegal despite the removal of the portion of a Department of Health (DoH) memorandum allowing the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to give consent despite objection from parents to get their children inoculated.

"Despite the removal of the portion of the memorandum, the parents are still being deprived of 'informed' consent with emphasis on the word 'informed,' as crucial information about the Pfizer vaccine is withheld in the DoH's public information efforts," Rueda-Acosta said.
