PHILIPPINE shares retreated on Thursday as investors booked profits while awaiting results of the central bank's policy meeting and monitoring developments abroad.
The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) slipped 0.19 percent, or 13.89 points, to 7,438.93, while the broader All Shares inched up by 0.1 percent, or 3.77 points, to close at 3,934.31.
