THE climate crisis is real, and a greenhouse gas plan shall go a long way toward helping mitigate its effects. Greenhouse gas emissions arise from human activities such as the burning of oil, coal and gas. They trap heat in the atmosphere, keeping it there for decades, even centuries, warming up the Earth and consequently raising global temperatures. This triggers a domino effect that affects environmental conditions, food and water supplies, weather patterns, and sea levels, causing planetary distress.
