Gulf firms invited to invest in PH

THE Department of Agriculture (DA) is encouraging businessmen and companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to invest in the Philippines' agriculture sector, as it has vast potential as the country is the second-largest coconut-producing country and the world's leading exporter of coconut products.

In a recent briefing, Agriculture Secretary William Dar emphasized the billion-dollar export potentials of some of the country's agriculture products such as the coconut, mango, banana, coffee, pineapple and cacao. These commodities took on the global stage at the ongoing Gulf Food Hotel and Equipment Exhibition and Salon Culinaire (Gulfood) at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates on February 13 to 17, 2022.
