PRC, ICRC give relief to typhoon-hit Surigao, Dinagat Islands

TEAMS from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) are working to support Philippine Red Cross (PRC) operations in response to Typhoon 'Odette' (international name: 'Rai') in the hard-struck Dinagat Islands and Siargao Island in Surigao del Norte.

In addition to the relief provided by ICRC, PRC received satellite phones, generators and multipurpose tents for the use of volunteers, deployed to provide immediate medical assistance and reestablish contact with families separated by the typhoon.
