Bacolod RTC junks petition vs Benitez

BACOLOD CITY: The Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Bacolod City has dismissed for lack of merit the case for the exclusion of former representative Alfredo 'Albee' Benitez from the list of registered voters in Barangay Mandalagan, this city.

In a decision released to the public by RTC Branch 44 over the weekend, Judge Ana Celeste Bernad stated that the Election Registration Board (ERB) has correctly applied the pertinent provisions of the law governing the matter.
