The National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) lauds the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) for its recent move to issue free Seaman's Book to first-time seafarer applicants, as well as the granting of a 50-percent discount for its renewal.
It was announced by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade that Seaman's Book, which costs P1,000 to P1,800 will now be given for free to seafarers who are applying for the first time during the term of President Rodrigo Duterte.
