'Don't judge a book by its cover' is the timeworn dictum which this Sunday Times Magazine cover happens to need. Because if there is anything the viewers of today's 'Lights, Camera, Boto!' episode should sheepishly realize from Quezon City District 5 Rep. Alfred Vargas' 10 a.m. interview with councilman brother PM Vargas across The Manila Times' social media platforms, it is this. That most of us never really gave the Vargases' foray into public service an honest second look.
