COTABATO CITY: Two members of the Daulah Islamiyah-Maute Group were killed following an encounter with members of the 1st Marine Brigade in Barangay Lumbac, Balabagan, Lanao del Sur on Wednesday, February 2.
"Based on the report from the ground, marine troops were conducting focused military operations when they chanced upon the group of Polo Alim, a Daulah Islamiyah-Maute Group member," Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario Jr., commander of Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom), on Friday said.
