Eased inflation buoys PH shares

THE easement of the country's inflation in January prompted the local bourse to return to the positive territory on Friday.

The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index climbed 1 percent, or 73.58 points, to close at 7,456.35, while the broader All Shares added 0.71 percent, or 27.74 points, to finish at 3,933.94.
