Duterte: Cusi stays as Energy chief amid charges over Malampaya deal

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte on Friday defended Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi as he slammed an 'apparent effort at the Senate to put in bad light' recent developments involving the sale of a majority stake in the Malampaya gas field.

This, after the Senate on Wednesday adopted a resolution seeking criminal and administrative charges against Cusi and other Department of Energy (DoE) officials who approved the controversial sale of shares in the Malampaya gas field.
