A memorandum circular which prohibits property developers from entering into exclusivity arrangements with internet service and cable TV providers will be released, the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) said.
"We in the commission are working in finalizing a draft memorandum circular, hopefully to be jointly issued with other regulatory agencies involved in property development, information and communications technology, which will essentially lay down the general principle that exclusivity arrangements in so far as internet service provision or telecoms entities or cable TV are sought to be prohibited," said PCC Commissioner Johannes Bernabe in a virtual briefing on Thursday.
