THE Philippines logged 7,661 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Wednesday, marking the second straight day that the number of infections was lower than 10,000, according to the Department of Health (DoH).
Wednesday's count raised the total cases to 3.58 million, of which 4.5 percent, or 160,297, are active; 94 percent, or 3.36 million are recoveries; and 1.51 percent, or 54,097, are fatalities.|
