Briones highlights PH role in helping Jews fleeing Holocaust

EDUCATION Secretary Leonor Briones on Thursday highlighted the compassion and humane act of Filipinos in helping Jewish refugees fleeing the Holocaust on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The International Holocaust Remembrance Day is commemorated each year on January 27 to pay tribute to the memory of the 6 million Jews persecuted by Nazi Germany and its collaborators during World War 2 and to all forms of intolerance.
