MORE than a year after I shared my inspirational message to my fourth year law class at the Rizal Memorial College-School of Law (RMC-SOL) in Davao City, the same students are now aspiring to embark on taking on the historic 2020/2021 Bar Examinations — the first digital and localized test in the Philippines. It will be held this February 4 and 6, unlike the traditional exams that were conducted on all four Sundays of November.

Last January 28, I conducted a pre-week review for my RMC-SOL students and discussed a few points about the salient provisions of the RCC (Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines) as well as additional corporate law doctrines and jurisprudence that may be helpful to them, pursuant to Supreme Court Bar Bulletin 31, s. of 2022 (Reduction of Bar Coverage and the Shortening of the 2020/21 bar exams).
