A multi-sectoral group of farmers, fishers, workers and the private sector called on the senators anew to reject Philippine membership in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) free trade agreement.
In a statement, the group said the agriculture sector has been ill-prepared for free trade in the global market, as farmers continue to deal with high production cost and inadequate basic support services and infrastructure.
