IMAGINE entering a large, pitch-black room with just a flashlight. You see your goal — the exit sign — at the far end of the room, but you don't know what obstacles are in your way. All you see is the small, flashlight-lit space near your feet as you carefully step forward.

This is the situation many organizations are in right now. Their vision for the future has become unclear with the pandemic as the terrain has drastically changed and continues to evolve. Navigating through these challenging times was one of the central themes at the 'Economic Times' Phoenix CXO Summit,' where I was a panelist on the topic, 'Leading Recovery in 2022,' last January 18.
