THE Office of the Ombudsman has granted the motion for reconsideration filed by the seven police officers from Central and Eastern Visayas suspended for administrative charges related to the murder of former Bohol mayor Gisela Boniel. Without any opposition from the camp of the three principal murder suspects, the court granted the request in a four-page order penned by the Office of the Ombudsman Graft Investigation and Prosecution Officer Juzzelyx Sulit that the administrative case be dropped against the police officers.

Sulit warrants the modification of the assailed decision dated Oct. 11, 2019 and dismissed the administrative case against Col. Jonathan Cabal, SMS Alexander Garcia, MSg. Lloyd Garcia, MSg. Angelo Nayve Avenido, MSg. Ally Bornillo Jr., Cpl. Emmanuel Pagalan Jr. and Cpl. Frederic Enriquez.
