TWO were injured on Tuesday after an anti-personnel mine was detonated by the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army (CPP-NPA) along Barangay Pelaon, Pinabacdao, Samar, the Philippine Army (PA) said on Wednesday.
In a statement, Maj. Gen. Edgardo de Leon, commander of the 8th Infantry Division (8ID), said an army soldier and a member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu) Active Auxiliary were on their way to a site for a new detachment when the incident happened.
