THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) is ready to stop the ongoing printing of ballots for the coming polls if the Supreme Court would order it following the non-inclusion of at least three candidates who were declared as nuisance but were able to secure a temporary restraining order (TRO) from the high court.
"If there's a ruling from [the Supreme Court], of course. The Comelec stands ready to abide by a lawful ruling of the SC," said Comelec spokesman James Jimenez on Tuesday in a virtual press briefing, after he acknowledged that there were three candidates for senators who did not make it on the official ballot face released by the Commission.
