Organic agri LGUs oppose RCEP

THE League of Organic Agriculture Municipalities, Cities and Provinces of the Philippines (LOAMCP Philippines) has issued a resolution opposing the Philippine membership to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) trade agreement and urged the Senate to withhold its concurrence on the treaty.

The RCEP is a multilateral trade agreement between and among countries comprising the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) including the Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. RCEP will cover trade in goods, trade in services, investment, economic and technical cooperation, intellectual property, competition, dispute settlement and other issues.
