TWO members of the country's Vaccine Experts Panel said that the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccines remain effective against the highly-infectious variants of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) virus despite decreased antibody response.
According to pediatrician, Dr. Liza Antoinette Gonzales, Sputnik V, which has two components both made from adenovirus vectors, said that despite the decrease in antibody activity against Delta and Omicron, the Russian-manufactured vaccine can still neutralize the effects of most variants of concern after its jab.
