Filipino female booters fall to Aussies in Women's Asian Cup

THE Philippine women's national football team (PWNFT) fought hard but fell 0-4 to the stronger Australia Matildas in the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup group stage at the Mumbai Arena in India on Monday.

The Filipinos stood their ground in the first 50 minutes of the contest, but the world No. 11 ranked Aussies solved the Pinay puzzle in the 51st minute with a Samantha Kerr header off a corner.
