THE Department of Health (DoH), through the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) and the World Health Organization (WHO), plans to build seven sub-national laboratories to aid in the detection of vaccine-preventable diseases.
The laboratories will serve as confirmatory testing facilities for common vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles, rubella, rotavirus and Japanese encephalitis.
