A police manhunt for an escaped inmate of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) was ordered on Tuesday as all units in Metro Manila were asked to ' stay on ground and assist' in apprehending the fugitive who was 'presumed armed and completely dangerous'.

'We plead for the public to be alert and vigilant. Take note that they are presumed to be armed thus, the assistance of the authority is necessary for their arrest. Do not hesitate to contact us or the nearest police precinct or station for any information that may lead us to their whereabouts,' PMGen. Vicente 'Vic' Dupa Danao Jr., National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) director, said in a statement.
