Inflation will likely settle within the government's 2- to 4-four percent target for 2022 and 2023 as long as global oil prices do not exceed $95 per barrel, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said.

"Average inflation was 4.5 percent in 2021. BSP forecasts that it will average within the 2- to 4-(percent) target range in the next two years: 3.4 percent in 2022 and 3.2 percent in 2023," BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno told reporters in a Viber message on Saturday.
