Last December, a group of local Spider-Man fans shot a video pleading in the cutest of ways to cinema operators and the powers that be behind December movie scheduling to not delay 'Spider-Man: No Way Home.' They were all in costumes just asking that the film be screened the same time it opened in the US and then giving room for the Metro Manila Film Festival and then resuming again.

Alas, it was not meant to be. There would be no Spider-Man until January 8. And in as much as I wanted to see the film and deliver a good column on it today, I am still healing a broken wrist and the jumping Covid numbers are downright sinister.
