Seaweed farming to get boost

AN Ilocos Norte-based university is pursuing aquaculture development with the introduction of seaweed farming as a sustainable income-generating activity for coastal communities in the province.

Daniel Tapaoan Jr., Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) information officer, said the Department of Agriculture has allotted initial funding of P4.1 million for this seaweed industry project.
