One hurt in grenade explosion

A MAN was hurt after a hand grenade was thrown near the Pandurucan Bridge in Barangay Poblacion 3, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Provincial Dir. Simeon Gane Jr. of Occidental Mindoro Police Office told The Manila Times in an interview that authorities recovered fragments of an MK2 hand grenade in the area. Gane identified the victim as Raymond Rogero Barcelona, 29, a laborer. Barcelona was outside a motor shop when the grenade was thrown by two unidentified men wearing black shirts on board a black motorcycle near the bridge. The victim gained slight bruises on his left chest and was immediately brought to the hospital. Gane said this is not an election-related incident.
