A GROUP of health workers on Tuesday opposed the recent directive of the Department of Health (DoH) and the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to shorten the isolation and quarantine periods from seven to 10 days to a maximum of five days, calling it "inhumane."
Under the DoH's Department Order 2022-002, fully vaccinated health workers who tested positive for Covid-19 and are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms only be isolated for a maximum of five days, while those close contacts are no longer required to finish their quarantine.
