GSIS closes head office, Quezon City branch

STATE-owned pension fund Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) announced its head office in Pasay City and its Quezon City branch in Mindanao Avenue will be temporarily closed to the public today until January 14 this year because of the recent rise in coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections.

"In the first 10 days of January 2022 alone, there had been 73 employees from the GSIS Head Office and Quezon City Branch Office who tested positive for Covid-19 and had to isolate at home. Similarly, their close contacts had to quarantine and be monitored for symptoms," it noted in an advisory released on Wednesday.
