THE Philippine index closed the trading week in the red as local Covid-19 cases continue to register an uptick, prompting stricter restrictions in the country.

The local stock barometer Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) fell by 1.05 percent, or 74.41 points, to 7,011.11, while the wider All Shares lost 0.85 percent, or 31.97 points, to finish at 3,745.61 on Friday.
