SC suspension/disbarment threat vs Gadon is unwise and indiscriminate

OBSERVER

First word

FOR a judicial tribunal, whose decisions are carefully studied and rarely taken in haste, the Supreme Court's decision on Tuesday to intervene in the noisy quarrel between journalist Raissa Robles and lawyer-senatorial candidate Larry Gadon, and then slap Gadon with a preventive suspension from the practice of law and a threat of disbarment, looks to me rash and far from persuasive. It should be reviewed by the Supreme Court en banc as is usually the case with all shaky and controversial decisions of the tribunal.
