THE Department of Finance (DoF) said real estate investment trusts (REITs) in the Philippines have raised P76.42 billion in additional capital thus far.

In a statement on Tuesday, it said the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reported to Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez 3rd that the total size or market capitalization of these REITs as of the third quarter of 2021 was $3.46 billion, or 0.96 percent of the Philippines' gross domestic product of $362.24 billion, according to a global survey conducted by the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA).
