Metro Manila police offer free rides to commuters

AT least 124 police mobile patrol assets of the Philippine National Police's (PNP) National Capital Regional Police Office (NCRPO) were deployed to provide commuters with 'libreng sakay' or free ride around Metro Manila, a ranking official said.

The PNP's free rides returned on Tuesday after the metropolis was placed under Alert Level 3 on Monday, its spokesman, Plt. Col. Jenny Tecson, told The Manila Times.
