DepEd promotes proper antimicrobial handling

IN celebration of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2021, the Department of Education (DepEd) expressed support in championing antimicrobial stewardship, especially as the world dealt with the evolving threat of Covid-19.

Antimicrobial stewardship was defined as a coherent set of actions that promoted the responsible use of antimicrobials, applied at the individual, national and global levels, according to the World Health Organization.
