THE announcement by the Department of Health (DoH) on Monday that it would no longer provide daily Covid-19 case bulletins after December 31 immediately drew a storm of criticism from the public and lawmakers, and it should have because it was a terrible and unnecessary decision. Withdrawing a key source of information from the public in the midst of a public health crisis is a gross violation of the DoH's most important duty and an error in judgment that must be rectified immediately.
